Lakeside Entertainment remains a Class II gaming casino. Department of Interior rejected an application from the Cayuga Nation to operate a Class III casino.
On Mafinal settlement between the Oneida Indian Nation and New York state was announced that included a guarantee for the Cayuga Nation the right to build and operate a casino in Cayuga County. The injunction was lifted a few months later, the bingo hall reopened again in Dec. The bingo hall reopened in July 2013 but was shut down by a court order.
The operation was suspended in October 2005 over a jurisdiction dispute with the local government. The tribe used the building to open a bingo hall in 2004. The building is a former NAPA Auto Parts store purchased by the Cayugas in 2003. Lakeside Entertainment is is located on Route 90 in Union Springs.
